The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has asked the entrepreneurs engaged in the toy park project to develop all the toy units at the earliest, officials said on Sunday.

YIDA has allotted a total of 142 plots to units that are engaged in manufacturing of toys for the dedicated park, which is being developed over 100 acres in Sector 33 near the Noida airport site in Jewar along the Yamuna Expressway. Is.
On Saturday, YIDA Chairman Anil Kumar Sagar laid the foundation stone for the construction of toy units for the project. Officials said that during the program he asked the entrepreneurs to develop all the units at the earliest and start manufacturing toys in their respective projects under the ‘Make in India’ campaign.
“We appreciate the participation of entrepreneurs who want to develop this toy park, which is a unique initiative by the UP government and entrepreneurs. The UP government will continue to provide necessary assistance to this project so that they can set up their units and start manufacturing,” said the YEIDA president.

Chairman Sagar said, “YEIDA has issued a checklist of documents to the remaining plot owners and they are in the process of executing the registry of their respective plots. Once they execute the registry, the authority will approve the map without any hindrance so that they can set up their units and start work on the project.
Yeida said the toy park project has the potential to eliminate the country’s dependence on Chinese products as the manufacturing units in the park will be able to meet the requirements of the market.
Toys Association of India convenor NK Gupta said, “As the manufacturing work has started, some units will start operations within a year and some will try to start operations sooner. The toy business generates an annual revenue of ₹12,000 crore in India and a major part of the supply comes from China due to cheaper rates. This toy park project at Yamuna Expressway, near Noida airport project site is all set to provide quality products at reasonable rates to the consumers.

In a separate development, the YIDA chairman also reviewed the preparations for the Moto GP at the Formula One circuit at Jaypee Infratech Limited’s facility in Sector 25 along the Yamuna Expressway on Saturday. The Moto GP event is scheduled from September 22 to 24 and the UP government has sent Sagar to review the preparations at the venue.
