Shedure Sanders is well-versed in Dallas-Fort Worth.
Sanders, the son of Colorado’s starting quarterback and Colorado head coach Deion Sanders, is a graduate of Trinity Christian, a high school in Edison. Upon his return to Texas, Sanders had a phenomenal game in a 45–42 upset victory against the TCU Horned Frogs, the winners of the 2022 Fiesta Bowl.
TCU head coach Sonny Dykes said that Sanders “excelled.”
Dykes said, “He made all the throws.” “He gave him 50-50 balls. He bowled really well. I thought he played as well as he possibly could have under the circumstances.

Sanders took a break from throwing touchdowns until the third quarter, when he found wide receiver Javier Weaver for a 17-yard touchdown. On the next play, he threw a short pass to Edwards, who ran it 75-yards to the home.

Four Colorado players had over 100 receiving yards and Sanders led the attack. Edwards led with 135 yards.
Horn, Weaver and Travis Hunter gained 117, 118 and 119 yards, respectively. Weaver averaged 19.6 yards per catch on six receptions. Horn and Hunter each took in a team leading 11 receptions.
Sanders finished the contest with a 200.1 passer rating.
Sanders’ Colorado Tour
While playing for the Trinity Christian Trojans, he was rated by 247 Sports as the No. 37 quarterback in the country in the Class of 2021. Sanders and Trinity Christian won three TAPPS D2 State Championships in a row.
In his senior year, Trinity Christian won the 2020 TCAL National Championship.
As a Trojan, Sanders completed 805 of 1,238 passes, and posted a 65% completion rate over four seasons. He accumulated 12,627 passing yards and 166 touchdowns and won 47 of 52 games.
As quarterback at Jackson State, Sanders posted 23 wins over two seasons while going undefeated in the Southwest Athletic Conference. Jackson State won the conference championship in both seasons.
Sanders, who is rated the No. 4 transfer QB by 247 Sports, followed his father in taking his talents to Colorado. On Saturday, he made his long-awaited debut for Buffalo and led his team to victory.
