Karnataka Law Society’s Institute of Management Education and Research (Autonomous) honored tech entrepreneur RK Patil during its 33rd Foundation Day celebrations held here on Saturday. This day is celebrated as the birth anniversary of Raosaheb BM Gogate, the patron of Karnataka Law Society (KLS).

Mr Patil, who is the co-founder and CEO of Vyvya Labs, was awarded the Entrepreneur of the Year award for 2023.

Engineers who returned from America have established technology-based companies in Belagavi. The companies are into semiconductors and embedded software solutions. He has 11 US patents in his name. Their customers mostly include companies from America and Japan.

Mr. Patil talked about the importance of taking risks and building a long-term career. He discussed the concept of materialistic development and holistic development. He thanked his college teachers who inculcated the spirit of entrepreneurship in him.

Professor of Strategy and Master of Business Administration (MBA), Chairman, IIM-B, R. Srinivasan delivered the keynote address. He discussed about making Digital India. “It is very interesting how India has been able to grow rapidly in recent years and create wealth for its countrymen,” he said.

He talked about the need to build digital infrastructure for the country and distribute the benefits among the people.

KLS President Ananth Mandagi, Karnataka Law Society’s Institute of Management Education and Research (KLS IMER) Governing Council Chairman RS Muthalik, Director Arif Shaikh, faculty members, staff and students were present.

Recently, KLS IMER conducted a four-day crash course for students who want to appear in the Post-Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) and Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (K-MAT) 2023.

Students were given tips on how to pass the examination. They were also given information about scholarships. Resource persons Ameet Kulkarni and Arif Shaikh spoke.
