Intellectual property lawyer and creative entrepreneur, Bukola Oladiran Fadipe Jr. (aka Bejay Fadipe) has announced the launch of a new record company; Express Records. An alumnus of Efe Babalola University (ABUAD), Fadipe Osun State hails from a lineage of entrepreneurs citing a strong passion for business, innovation, creativity and intellectual property which he has followed for most of his life.
Fadip currently manages talents like; Yung Willis, Extreme, Topnotch Toby and Decominati, and the influential Caramel Plug, and are part of Timea’s management team. He is also the co-founder of Krell Animation Studio along with Nissi Ogulu. Over the past decade, Fadeep has gained experience in the Nigerian music industry where he worked on Falz’s first project while still a student, building a studio for creatives.
He went on to work as Publicist, Bookie HQ where he handled accounts including Burna Boy, Naomi Campbell, Linda Osifo, Thames, Chocolate City (CK & Blackbonez), Spaceship Collective (Nissi, Bnxn, Bose Ogulu), Sarkodie, M. Anifest, YC & Mavin Records (Johnny Drill), Trace TV including many more. He also worked with top producer brands such as Sarge and the Rocket Boys (Lerick and Tellz) and was the main promoter for Burna Boy’s Grammy Award winning album. twice as long,
Speaking on the objectives of the label, Fadyp says
“First, to create a platform for creative people to develop, extract and express creative talent in unique ways that fuel a global cultural renaissance. Secondly, promoting the development and cultivation of Valuable Intellectual Property (VIP), as well as promoting equity in the rapidly growing Nigerian/African entertainment industry, where inequality currently thrives.
Speaking further on what to expect from the company, Fadipp said that the world should expect a grand display of unconventional creativity rooted in the glorious culture and history of humanity. He further added that the label’s first release will be launched later this month and stated that the world will “Expect the Unexpected with X Records!!”
