Chinese motorcycle manufacturer CFMoto has been launching all kinds of new and exciting models in the global market lately. The brand recently announced the global launch of its beginner-friendly premium model, the 450NK. This sporty naked bike is for the riders who are looking for a dashing all-rounder.

After the 450NK, CFMoto has taken the wraps off the 450CL-C in the Chinese market. The leisure cruiser is described as a balance between styling and comfort, and is built on the same foundation as the 450NK. Let’s take a closer look at this new retro-inspired cruiser.

According to CFMoto, the 450CL-C is a “masterpiece of streamlined design that mesmerises at every glance.” In fact, at least from a styling perspective, you could say that the 450CL-C is a great machine, offering a mix of retro and modern styling cues. Its circular fuel tank and circular LED headlight reflect the retro design, while the integration of the inverted front forks, dual-channel ABS and its semi-exposed trellis frame are all modern.

Undoubtedly, the most notable aspect of this motorcycle is its engine. Similar to the 450NK, CFMoto has fitted an all-new 449cc, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, parallel-twin engine with a 270-degree crankshaft in the 450CL-C. This configuration means the engine feels and delivers power similar to a 90-degree V-twin, making it ideal for the cruiser segment. In terms of performance, the 450CL-C makes 40 horsepower (30 kW) at 8,000 rpm and 29 pound-feet (42 Newton-meter) of torque at 6,250 rpm. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission and interestingly, Gates belt drive.

The cruiser’s underpinnings include an inverted front fork with 37-millimetre fork tube, as well as a centrally mounted rear monoshock. It has a single 12.5-inch (320-millimetre) disc brake at the front, as well as a single 8.7-inch (220-millimetre) disc at the rear. It is equipped with safety features like traction control and dual-channel ABS.
