At the ’90s Con, the ‘Boy Meets World’ actress explained how their 30-year friendship led to a “true knowledge of each other” because of their “commitment” to their cast-wide bond.

Danielle Fishel (Topanga), Rider Strong (Shawn), Matthew Lawrence (Jack), Will Friedle (Eric), Anthony Tyler Quinn (Jonathan), Betsy Randall (Amy), Lee Norris (Stuart), Trina McGee (Angela), William Daniels (Mr. Feeny) and Bonnie Bartlett Daniels (Leila) took a trip down memory lane when they came together at 90s Con in Tampa on Saturday – and talked about the longevity of their friendship.
One member of the cast was notably absent: Ben Savage, who played Cory on the Disney Channel series. This comes after the cast accused Savage of ghosting them three years ago. Fishel, Friedel, and Strong said in a conversation that he “kind of disappeared from our lives”. Diversity earlier this year. “We didn’t have any fights. There’s no bad blood. There was no animosity. He just woke up one day and decided, ‘I don’t want this person in my life anymore,’” Friedel said.

boy meets world Ran for seven seasons and ended in 2000. For a few years, Disney+ also satisfied fans’ yearning for reboots. girl meets the worldwhich ran from 2014 to 2017 and was based on the life of Cory (Savage) and Topanga (Fishel)’s daughter, Riley (Rowan Blanchard).
Although the two have become close for a long time, the artists have remained close friends over the years. In April, the gang came together with Daniels’ wife Bartlett Daniels to celebrate his 96th birthday ahead of their appearance at the Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo 2023.

Friedel, Fishel and Strong also collaborate on their hit podcast, Pod Meets World Where the trio took an in-depth look at their time as child actors and revisited the sitcom.
In a July 2022 episode, Fishel opened up about her first tough day on set and recalled that when she was only 12 years old, she was fired from her job because of her habit of speaking quickly.
According to the now 42-year-old actress, series creator Michael Jacobs called her out in front of the entire team and claimed that he was “finally going to give you all your notes together” as if her notes were given first, adding, “We all Will stay here for hours and no one will get a chance to go home.”

Jacobs then began giving her notes to everyone else before calling Fishel’s mother from the studio audience to join her at a table on the set. “He watched every single line of mine and what he wanted and what I wasn’t doing right and how slow I needed to talk,” she said.
She said, “What I do know is that he was specifically told, ‘All I know is that if you don’t come back tomorrow doing this completely differently, you won’t even be here,’” she said. He said, referring to the girl’s place he had taken.

After spending the morning practicing her lines with her mother, Fishel’s hard work paid off. After attending rehearsal the next day, she remembered Jacobs standing up and saying, “Let’s give Danielle a round of applause, you did exactly what I asked you to do. Thank you, thank you. Congratulations, it was amazing.”

The ’90s convention is taking place through Sunday at the Tampa Convention Center.
