Bengaluru, Sep 4 (SocialNews.XYZ) Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Monday said that Bengaluru is number one in IT and BT exports and has full potential to become number one in the world.
“Our government is committed to achieve this. Overall, Bengaluru and Karnataka are ideally positioned to continue leading the country in innovation and technology.
Addressing a program of interaction with industry leaders ahead of the Bengaluru Tech Summit (BTS), CM Siddaramaiah said, “I am happy to welcome industry leaders, founders, investors, technology enthusiasts for breakfast.”

The state of Karnataka is all set to lead the country in the digital future. Congress leaders in Karnataka recognized the potential of the IT sector in the state. He said, in the late 1980s and early 1990s, we laid the foundation of the state’s IT ecosystem.
Building on the vision of former prime minister late Rajiv Gandhi by promoting policies that encourage investment in technology and infrastructure, the Congress-led government introduced the first IT policy for the state of Karnataka in 1992, he said.

CM Siddaramaiah said that the technology prowess of Karnataka extends beyond its borders. “We are committed to harnessing our technological prowess with respect to global warming, cyber security and environmental issues.
Public transport will be improved and infrastructure will be developed to reduce traffic jams. Metro network is being expanded rapidly and there will be metro connection till Bengaluru International Airport

Taiwanese electronics company Foxconn has announced that it will open its manufacturing unit in the Devanahalli area. There are investment opportunities in Anekal, Doddaballapura cities. These cities are located near
Bengaluru and their proximity is going to be an advantage.
