Online Dating and Relationships

Free online dating sites offer free services to help people find friends and lasting relationships of a more personal nature. These sites save money that can be better spent somewhere else while allowing people to get the personal connections they want. These sites allow like-minded people all over the country, or world, to get together online for chatting, networking or dating. They are especially helpful for people with busy demands on their schedules that do not really have the time to go out to meet new people.

Free online dating sites help people avoid the sometimes awkward or dangerous situations that people can find themselves in on a date. Other than the obvious advantage of not having to pay for the service, other benefits include controlled anonymity, taking things at a comfortable pace and the added protection that online services offer. No one has to know personal details about someone else until that individual is comfortable revealing more. Subscribers can get online and meet people from all over the world with no pressure to disclose income, family size, ethnicity or other revealing information.

The personal information that is required at sign up varies, but in general, it consists of an email for communication purposes from interested parties and the website itself, a user name and password. Some sites will ask for more information at sign up like the subscriber’s zip code for matching potential mates in that specific area, gender, preferred gender for mates, information on smoking, marital status, taste in music and other generalized information.  Some sites will ask for a brief description of personal interests or goals, as well, and most sites will ask for a photo.

When the account is set up, the questions get more detailed to come up with a profile for compatibility. Some sites offer compatibility tests or questions that help sort through and weed out persons that are not compatible. These questions expedite finding people of like interests and goals in life. These services are great for finding friends as well as potential mates. Most sites will also offer forums and a place to blog. These are great tools for communicating and breaking the ice, or reading about other users and getting to know them better.

There are many good free online dating sites with good reviews. Potential subscribers should be careful to stay away from sites that allow a lot of spam, since these sites can be targeted by online predators and con artists. As with any other form of online communication, personal information such as street addresses, personal phone numbers and banking information should be kept private.

Free online dating sites are a great place to start when looking for the “right one”, offering a protected environment to do it in, with no charge to the user. For the individuals that are shy or find it hard to converse with new people, a free online dating site might be the answer to the question, “What do we talk about?” These free online dating communities offer instant access and approval in a larger forum than the local bar or singles club can, at no cost to the subscriber at all.

Blogcomment Demon and Your Internet Marketing Plan

The Internet is a tough place to get started in marketing your products or services. Gone are the days of a small on-line community in which competition was not abundant and customers would simply type in what they were looking for and find one or two websites to choose from. If you simply start a website selling your product or service and never engage in active marketing, chances are you will never see a sale or they will trickle in at a rate that will only frustrate you. This is why it is more important than ever to develop a robust Internet marketing plan.

How do you get started in Internet marketing?

Once you have decided that you are serious about marketing your product or service through the Internet, it is not terribly hard to get started in doing so. The main way on-line marketeers are generating leads and sales in today’s Internet marketplace is called “backlinks”. Backlinks are simply links to your website that come from another unaffiliated website. If you have quality backlinks on highly visible, high-traffic websites, you have a built-in audience, one that you don’t have to spend time building, that will see your link and click through to your website.

How do I get backlinks?

There are a few ways to get backlinks to your website. One is to exchange backlinks, that is, you place a link to their website on your website, and they do the same. The problem is, website operators looking to exchange backlinks want your website to have roughly the same amount of traffic as their website, so that the advertising relationship is fairly balanced. If you do not have a large amount of traffic, the only backlinks others will exchange with you are links to other low-traffic websites.

Another way to generate backlinks is to pay for them. You’ll quickly go broke if you try this! It works, but to get onto websites with high levels of traffic, you will need a large amount of money and you may never make it all back.

The only way to generate backlinks completely free-of-charge is blog commenting. You’ve been onto blogs where, at the bottom of their post, they have a box in which you can post comments onto the blog post. These comment boxes also have an area for you to enter a website, making your name on the blog comment a clickable link. You may also place a URL into the comment itself, but you must be careful to make sure the content in your comment and on your website is relevant, or you will soon find yourself blocked for “spamming”. In fact, some anti-spam scripts are so zealous that many legitimate comments never see the light of day.

So I have to go and find all these blogs by myself and hand-type a comment onto all of them?

Not necessarily. There is software out there that will automatically post comments onto blog posts, but the problem with them is that they are the online equivalent to “envelope stuffing” with junk mail. You get a high volume of highly “spammy” posts that end up either rejected or removed from the blog’s comments section, or people end up passing over them anyway. It’s not a quick road to success.

There is a new program, called Blogcomment Demon, that is nothing like any previous blog commenting software. Not only does it search for blogs on the most popular blog sites such as WordPress, Blogspot, and LiveJournal, it tracks the approval of these comments, and allows you to insert your own comments (hand-typed, copied-and-pasted, or auto-generated) into these blogs for maximum effectiveness and quality control. It is the equivalent of finding and hand-typing comments into blogs, but it is an automated process to save time. Other comment programs either spam blogs indiscriminately, or they only generate lists of blogs, requiring you to sort and comment on the blogs yourself, making them no better than manually commenting by yourself for free.

So what really makes Blogcomment Demon different from the rest?

Well, there’s everything we already mentioned. It keeps track of when comments are approved, so you don’t have to go back and check for yourself. Blogcomment Demon allows you to sort blogs by their Google PageRank and other popularity metrics. You can make notes on each blog, select a blog as a favorite, and manage your marketing campaign. Because some blog platforms block IP addresses of internet marketeers that use blog comments to create backlinks, Blogcomment Demon has support for proxy servers.

Blogcomment Demon includes free lifetime upgrades with a purchase. The upgrade from version one to version two is night-and-day and Blogcomment Demon only continues to add more features to create quality backlinks. Blogcomment Demon also has a free training center that includes videos to teach you how to use Blogcomment Demon to its maximum effectiveness. Most other Internet marketing software programs simply take your money and leave you to figure it all out, but Blogcomment Demon is not most other Internet marketing software programs.

You can learn more about Blogcomment Demon, and get a free report and training videos at http://blogcommentdemon.com .

Blogcomment Demon-A Review

Blogcomment Demon-A Review

As today’s internet changes, so do the ways that you build websites. As any webmaster of today knows, simply designing, building and creating content for a website will not get you a good ranking with the many search engines that are out there. Much more needs to be done in order to achieve the maximum effect that you want for your website.

In the past, you could have simply loaded your website with good content and a few ample keywords in order to receive a good ranking with the major search engines. With the internet being more accessible, convenient and easy to do seemingly daunting tasks for even the most novice of webmasters, there are many more websites on the internet now. For this reason, it is getting harder to achieve a favorable ranking in these same search engines. Search engines have changed their criteria based on this fact and are becoming more selective with what websites they rank. Think of it this way. If you have the only website on a particular topic that someone is searching for, then your ranking will be number one on all of the search engines. Now increase that same scenario except this time you are not the only person with a website on that topic, there are 100 other websites with the same topic information. It would be harder to achieve a high ranking dependent on what the other websites have to offer. That is the every day scenario that every website faces in today’s world. This is the hurdle that you must overcome if you desire to have a website that will rank well with the search engines.

Many web designers try to overcome this situation by placing links all over the internet. Just a few short years back, this seemed to be a logical and practical method for driving visitors to your site while also going up in the rankings with the search engines. But, as described earlier in the above scenario, this is starting to not even work. Webmasters are placing links pointing to their sites all across the web with no evident progress in their rankings. The downfall of these links is that they are not related links. The search engines of today have scrutinized even the links for websites to see if they are related or not. Non-related links are simply overlooked by the web-crawlers that search engines use to discover and rank websites. Having a link attached to a financial website directing the visitor to your website, which is information about a sports team, will not rank very well with the search engines because it is an unrelated link. Now, if you take that same link to your website which is about a sports team and attached it to a sporting goods store, your ranking might be what the search engines are looking for. You will increase your chances on achieving a higher ranking. To achieve this related link status, you could start looking for websites of the same topic, contact the webmaster and hopefully be added as a link somewhere on their website for a fee. This is extremely painstaking, time consuming and there is absolutely now way you would be able to contact every webmaster or even locate every website on your topic. There are also link-swap programs available for a fee but the problem with this is that there are no one-way links available. They are all two way which means your chances of having a visitor come to your website is cut in half due to the swapping method. So you might be asking yourself, how do we overcome all of these ranking obstacles?

Edwinsoft has developed a program called Blogcomment Demon to help us all out with this situation. Blogcomment Demon is a windows application that canvasses the internet for all blogs that have the related keyword subject that you place in the search criteria. The blog platforms that are covered by this great little program are tremendous. Blogcomment Demon is considered to be a very unique program of its kind due to the fact that it doesn’t violate any of the spamming laws that are in place. You do have to place your links and comments into each comment section of the blog that it pulls up. By doing this, no violation of the spamming laws are evident. Aside from being a white-hat, good-guy program, it is extremely easy to use. Once you type in your keywords, it will pull up a list of all related blogs that have that keyword, PR and what platform the blog is in. Simply double-click on the blog and you will be taken directly to that blog so you can leave your comment and link. It really is that simple.

The program utilizes related keyword search results from Google which will provide you with a tremendous amount of blogs to choose from. Keep in mind however, that if you use general keywords, you may be directed back to Google every so often to enter in the Captcha, just to make sure you aren’t a robot. If you have a permanent ban from any of the search engines, this program has a single proxy support to help you out with that.
Being that the program is of the white-hat nature, it will not automatically fill in any of your information when leaving blog comments for the form fields. There are many other programs out there available to do that task for you though.
Many of the major blog platforms are covered within the search criteria and you can choose which ones to search for. You can choose just one particular platform or scan for all of the platforms. The platforms that it covers are:

  • WordPress
  • Blogspot
  • BlogDrive
  • b2 evolution
  • Typepad
  • TextPattern
  • ExpressionEngine
  • Nucleus
  • Drupal

Once you have performed your search, all of the blogs on the chosen platforms, with the chosen keywords will be in a list. You can simply double-click on the blog and it will automatically load itself up into your default browser. If you open up multiple blogs, they will simply align themselves in the order that you clicked them with their own tabs. By doing this, you can simply open each tab and start linking and commenting.
In summary, Blogcomment Demon is an outstanding program for finding a tremendous amount of keyword related blogs to start your campaign with. It’s a totally white-hat and easy to use program. What more could anyone ask for in website traffic creation?

The Evolution of Anime as a Cross-Cultural Phenomenon

Nothing illustrates the evolution of anime better than the evolution of one of its first superstars – Astroboy. This popular cartoon character for children made his Japanese debut back in 1952. Astroboy was the creation of Dr. Osamu Tezuka, a Tokyo manga (comic book) artist. The name Osamu Tezuka is as revered in Japan as Walt Disney is in the United States and his work has been just as influential.

The original Astroboy, known as Atom Boy in Japan, was a big-eyed robot boy with a human heart. Early renderings of the character set the style for anime for decades to come. Doe-eyed heroes and heroines have paid homage to Tezuka’s robot hero ever since. Like Astroboy himself, though, they have become ever more elaborately rendered. The big-eyed, small-mouth and nose character has even become recognized as part of the definition of anime in some circles, though that is not entirely accurate.

Just as Osamu Tezuka was influenced by Western cartoons and cartoonists, our cartoon art has been influenced by anime. It is a two-way street, based both on artistic and commercial sensibilities. Cartoon artists are artists first and always look for inspiration from other artists. The producers of animated films are business people first and they look for ways to alter the characters, plots and animation techniques that will appeal to larger audiences.

It may be because its target audience was international that made the animators of the 2002 winner of the Best Animated Film Oscar, Spirited Away, decide to make their protagonist’s eyes smaller than most anime characters’ eyes had been in the past. For whatever reasons, they were, and other characters in the film had far more realistic faces than the smooth skinned Chihiro (the heroine). In spite of that, she retained so many of the classic anime characteristics that only a hardened cynic could say that the film was not “real” anime.

Aside from her facial characteristics, Chihiro was a classic anime heroine in a number of other ways. She was introduced as a somewhat annoying pre-teen girl with no aspirations to becoming anything else. However, as the movie progresses, both her personality and her appearance undergo change as she faces her supernatural challenges and learns from her experiences. This is typical of anime and is something that has recently influenced American cartoons, whose characters have typically been fairly one dimensional.

While Spirited Away was critically acclaimed, it and subsequent animes produced for American audiences have had more success as DVD’s than they have had at the box office. Astroboy underwent a radical change for his introduction to the big screen in 2009. While he and the other characters were recognizable, they were created using computer-generated 3-D imagery. Apparently that ploy failed to sway viewers to the theaters, because Astroboy was a box office failure.

None of the most successful anime inspired feature length films in America have been cartoons, in fact. They have been films inspired by anime action, supernatural and martial arts features and series. Directors such as Quentin Tarantino, James Cameron and others are admirers of anime and attribute much of their inspiration and some of their success to anime. Whether anime as distinct animated art form ever becomes as popular as our own animated feature films have become remains to be seen. However, anime is certain to continue to be influential and will always enjoy a wide cult following.

How Anime Gets Under Your Skin

If you’re not a fan of anime and don’t want to become one, the best advice that can be given is to avoid watching one! There is something about anime that is strangely compelling, no matter what your age or viewing preference.

While the word anime is derived directly from the English “animate” and anime are the equivalent of cartoons in every sense of the word, they are also quite different from cartoons as we know them. For one thing, our cartoons, including feature length cartoons, are virtually all designed for young viewers. Animes, on the other hand, are made for a variety of age groups.

As in America, there are children’s anime. Astroboy is a Japanese children’s classic that made the transition to U.S. television screens without appearing first as a popular video game, as Pokemon and Digimon did.

Other, more mature genres of anime include crime, horror, science fiction and martial arts. Some of the most richly detailed and highly structured plots that have captured American fans’ imaginations have been science fiction anime. Often, these take place in a darkly sinister near future when information technology has become so all pervasive that it has taken on a life of its own. In some cases, heroes and heroines travel through cyberspace to battle against evil. In other cases, cyberspace itself is the evil.

If that plot outline sounds familiar, it should. The Matrix series of films was directly inspired by a Japanese anime called Ghost in the Shell, which ironically had its U.S. debut years after the Matrix was released. The producers and directors of the Matrix never tried to make a secret of the debt they owed to anime: they were ardent admirers of anime, as other well-known film makers have been. In fact, it could be argued that a handful of the most renowned anime illustrators and producers in Japan have been as influential in American crime, martial arts and science fiction films in the past twenty years as Alfred Hitchcock was in the mystery and horror genres of an earlier generation.

While the films that have been directly or indirectly inspired by anime features are jam packed with action, the action in their animated Japanese counterparts takes a back seat to atmosphere. In fact, even the big budget anime, such as Ghost in the Shell, use animation very sparingly. Long background shots pan stationary cityscapes and characters often move through an unmoving background scene. While this minimalist approach sounds like it may be “low budget” and indeed may originally have been, it is also one of the compelling stylistic elements of anime. While the action is limited, the detailing of the drawings and the use of color are so emotionally evocative, the viewer becomes mesmerized.

It is this hypnotic effect that anime can have on the viewer that makes it so addictive. You can sit down to watch an anime with every intention of remaining skeptical, but within five or ten minutes, you will be drawn in and the spell won’t be broken until the end. That’s why, if you don’t want to become anime fan, you should avoid watching one at all costs!

Triple Play to Win!

Comcast offers customers so much that the phrase “Triple Play” doesn’t even begin to cover it. Convenience, ease of use, great selection, great service, fantastic options means customers not only get more than they expect, they can get more than they ever thought possible.

Great sports channels like FOX Sports, ESPN, the Golf Channel and the Tennis channel are just the tip of the iceberg for sports fanatics. Kids have Noggin, Nickelodeon, Disney, Toon Disney and even more great choices for education and entertainment. SoapNet and Oxygen are just a couple of the great channels for those who find that romance and drama are their cup of tea. And speaking of tea, we can’t leave out the Food channel.

And with all these great services already, most people would think that for a cable company, that would be enough. But when Comcast added Digital Voice, that brought even more value to the customer in  a way that only Comcast can do it. Voice over internet protocol, better known as VoIP, has enabled Comcast to bring customers not only a great phone service centered around crystal clear sound, thanks to the digital processing, but also unlimited talk time anywhere in the United States and outlying territories all for one low price. Epic 600 MX

According to Merriam-Webster, “epic” means “extending beyond the usual or ordinary especially in size or scope” and in the case of the Epic 600 MX, that most certainly is a very accurate description. Tons of features, high quality construction, a stupendous warranty and a price that belongs on a much cheaper treadmill, the 600 MX definitely extends beyond the ordinary!

Let’s start with the basics. The 2.5 horsepower commercial grade motor means better life. Not only that, but the extra horsepower means it’ll handle a heavier load. The 600 MX will handle up to 325 pounds in this case, versus 275 or 300 in virtually every other treadmill out there. And with a 12 year warranty on the motor, you have to know it’s going to deliver for a long, long time to come.

The 20 x 55 tread belt area means more room to walk, and the ability to take a longer stride, great for those taller individuals who may have a problem with a shorter treadmill. Speaking of the longer treadmill, the deck is designed with Epic’s ConfortStep impact reducing cushioning, designed to reduce the impact on your knees, hips and ankles up to 15% over regular road running. The 2.5 inch crowned steel rollers ensure smooth operation and better treadmill life. With a two year warranty on parts, and a full year warranty on labor, this machine has been designed to last.

With a 0 to 12 mph speed and a 0 to 12 degree incline, the 600 MX will give you a hard, quality work out.  In order to take the best advantage of this capability Epic has included 8 personal trainer workouts and two heart rate workouts to best target your needs, and for those who like the best of the best, the 600 MX also has 4 user programmable routines so you can custom design a workout to meet your specific needs.

Other features include a big, easy to read display that can be seen from virtually any angle, and with a full 7 by 10 matrix, the ClearView display gives you a lot of information packed into it. The console CoolAire fan is designed to provide you with plenty of air flow for your comfort, and Epic’s patented fold away design means that when you’re not using it to work out on, it is packed away, waiting for the next one.

When you’re looking for a treadmill, you’ve got to know that every maker out there wants you to buy theirs. Some add bells and whistles, some pack on the features and some give you an incredible warranty. But rarely do you find one that gives you the best of all worlds. The great workout routines, the great warranty on the motor, the extra space on the deck and all of the other features mentioned above places the Epic 600 MX right up at the top of the best treadmills available. And when you look at a street price of around $800, that means you’re getting excellent value for your dollar.

Online Dating Sites

Companionship is a basic human need that everyone has. For individuals that are searching for the “right one” in tough economic times, the monthly subscription to online dating sites can be an unwanted burden, or the monthly fee can be out of reach altogether. For those that are financially limited, but that want the companionship they are searching for, there are free online dating sites that offer the same basic services as the sites that charge. These free online dating sites give individuals a free, open forum to communicate with others and find friends and long-term relationships with people from all over the country, or the world. With no monthly subscription, there is no monthly commitment and no unnecessary drain on personal finances. Finding the “right one” is as easy as signing up and signing on. These sites have personal profiles, places to blog and open forums to talk in to help people find out who else is out there searching for their “right one”.

Free online dating sites are also good for people that find it hard to break the ice or initiate a conversation with people they do not know.  Instead of initiating conversations, individuals can use these sites to read conversations that are already in progress, allowing them to “jump in” when they feel comfortable with it. These sites are also safer than going through dating services where people are introduced face-to-face because they offer a certain level of anonymity. For people that have had awkward, or even dangerous experiences with first dates or new relationships, these sites offer a place to meet new people safely, while staying protected. There is no personal, identifiable information required for sign-up or participation, and the subscriber never has to reveal personal details pertaining to his or her life, finances or location unless he or she is comfortable with revealing them.

While it is safer to meet people online through these free dating communities, potential subscribers should be careful to stay away from sites that require identifiable information like financial status, address, phone numbers, etc., for participation or sign-up. People that are interested in joining an online dating community should choose one that has good reviews and that does not allow a lot of spamming.

The sign-up process will vary from site to site, but most sites will require an email address for personal communications between members, or to receive email notifications from the website. The subscriber will also be asked to pick out a user name and password, which can be anything as long as it is not already in use on the site. This further helps protect personal identifications. Some sites will ask the subscriber to check their email to verify the account.

Once the account is established, the member is allowed to set up their profile, answer questions or take “compatibility tests”, asked by the site or by the members, themselves. These questions can be great icebreakers and help weed through the other profiles that are not compatible with the individual, streamlining a way to get in touch automatically with others of like interests and personal goals.
Free online dating sites can be the solution to the need for companionship on a fixed or an already stretched monthly budget. With free online dating services, there are no financial monthly obligations to add an unnecessary burden to the process. Everything from sign-up to hook-up can be 100% free.
